New Game from Command & Conquer Alumni

That’s right, Petroglyph Games (formed in 2003 when Westwood Studios became defunct) is working on a new game in the genre they defined forever, and coming off of the heels of Grey Goo (seems so much more recent than 2015) and the 8-Bit RTS series, anyone that loves the genre is bound to be excited. And who better to team up with than Team17? Below are some of the main features you can expect from the game.

You will have the ability to modify every unit chassis (Infantry, Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, Aircraft) with a host of weapons, support and locomotor types. Add regenerative armour to your light vehicle, or add an anti-tank gun to your aircraft. Adapt to every situation, and every opponent.

Every battle you fight contributes toward your faction’s technology upgrades with different science paths; advancing the tech tree unlocks new blueprints.

The game will offer a story campaign that will put you, The Resistance (naturally), up against the powers of The Collective. Will you be skilled enough to save the planet?

If you’re feeling exceptionally good about your skills, you can hop onto a dedicated server with up to seven other players to test out just how good you really are at the game.

It will also offer Steam Workshop Support, meaning you’ll have an endless supply of content.

The game is planned for an Early Access release in 2018, and is expected to be in it for six months as the developers collaborate with the players to make the best possible game.
