Scandroid’s Red Planet Now Available

It doesn’t feel like it’s been that long since we got the last Scandroid album; in fact, it was less than a year ago. Klayton works at a rate that most wouldn’t dare, but that’s great for his fans. The newest tune from his 80s synthwave moniker is Red Planet, which you can listen to above. This seems to be like some of my favorite songs from the previous album, which is very exciting. The new album The Darkness and The Light doesn’t have a release date yet, but you can hear two other singles right now: New York City Nights and Time Crime.

Save for the repeated words red planet, this song is devoid of lyrics and focuses on the darksynth creepy nature of the sound while also being very upbeat. It’s a stark contrast to the previous two songs, where New York City Nights sounds like it belongs in a 1980s TV show or movie, and Time Crime follows suit. Red Planet feels altogether different and touches on a lot of the things I love about the genre. Needless to say, we have a lot to look forward to with this third album when it launches. If you’d like to purchase Red Planet, you can do so here. For more information on Scandroid, check out the FiXT page dedicated to him.
