Song of Horror Coming in 2018

There is a genre that is either loved or hated by people. Something you’ll either play hoping for an adrenaline rush, or never touch for fear of the effects it’ll have. That genre is horror. People say that horror is the easiest thing to create when making films. It’s viewed as a sort of cheap thrill. Thing is, most people don’t do the genre justice; but when they do, it’s something remarkable that sticks with you forever.

Song of Horror isn’t a movie, but a new entry in the third-person survival horror field of video games. While the game follows a main protagonist, Daniel Noyer, you’ll be able to control up to 16 different characters. The game’s AI will procedurally generate threats for the characters, which may result in their ultimate demise. And once they’re gone, that’s it for them – permadeath is one of the game’s many features. This looks to bring back the horror of older games in the genre (Alone in the Dark, Resident Evil) while implementing modern mechanics.

Come Spring 2018, you’ll be able to enjoy Song of Horror on PS4, X1, or PC. You can visit the game’s official site for more details, and follow the development on Facebook and Twitter.
